ChatBot
What is this?
This is an experiment using an OpenAI’s in the AI Engine Wordpress Plugin.
I’m using it as a way to:
- experiment with designing custom AI chatbots using my own content
- revisit how people processed the early days of the internet at a time when we’re trying trying to make sense of our rapidly evolving AI world.
If you have any thoughts, questions, or feedback, about the experience of using the chatbot or about the dissertation topic, feel free to contact me.
How to Use It
Here are some questions you might ask to get started:
- Explain what this dissertation is about non-academic language (in two paragraphs).
- What is the attention economy and how does it related to the argument?
- What’s the meaning of the subtitle “Local Economies of Attention in the Network” (in two paragraphs)?
- Who is Fred First and what role does he play in the study?
- I’m interested in [x topic]. Can you tell me if this project touches on that?
Versions
There are two versions I’m experimenting with right now:
This version uses embeddings created from Wordpress pages through the AI Engine and index in Pinecone
This version uses OpenAI’s Assistant API in the AI Engine Wordpress Plugin. I uploaded my 250 page PDF version of the dissertation and the Assistant did the rest to make the content available to the chatbot.
Note: It sometimes takes a few seconds for it to return a response so just hang tight while it thinks and(OpenAI currently does not support streaming for its Assistants).
